2 Months came quickly!

I can’t believe our precious little girl is already 2 months old! Our niece Rebekah is 2 years old! Time is flying by. This month she has really started to smile, stay awake for longer periods during the day, and she made her first trip to Granbury. I also started back to work so it has been a rather busy month!
I love to watch Alex with Molly. He does so well with her. He will go give her a kiss without being prompted. It melts my heart every time. I hope that they will grow up to be great friends and look out for each other.  He tries to give her his toys and his food. I’m sure the sharing of toys won’t last a lot longer! Just the other day he was talking to her and making her smile. I just love my babies so much!
We planned to go to Granbury on Friday March 16th but after some thinking, we decided it would be best is Aaron stayed home and worked. He doesn’t have any vacation time until the end of June and he has been approved to work overtime right now. With the extra hospital bills, we decided I would make the trip with the kids and leave on the 15th so that Aaron could get in some overtime. I was nervous about the drive but Molly made it to Granbury without a feeding. We did have to stop once on the way home but Alex did great. He was mad at first about sister getting out of her seat and he was stuck in his but then he calmed down. Poor boy doesn’t like to sit for long periods of time! I timed it each day so that we left after he had lunch so that we were on the road during his normal nap time. He didn’t nap well going but it worked well on the way home. We had a great time celebrating my dad’s birthday and visiting with family. The weather was great so we were able to spend a lot of time outside. Alex goes non-stop. If he is awake he just doesn’t sit still.
We have found ourselves talking about when Alex was Molly’s age and it is amazing how some stuff we just don’t remember. We were trying to remember when he really started to smile at us and when he started to wake up only once at night. One thing that we have been able to tell now is how much his brachial plexus injury affected him. He moved his legs a bunch but after watching Molly’s arms go crazy, we realize how little he moved his injured arm. Praise God because you would never know now though!
I started back to work on the 26th. It was a little easier this time since I know who is watching Molly. I see how much Alex is adored at daycare and feel confident that he is in good hands. Knowing that we have not had any issues while he has been at daycare, has made taking Molly easier. It was still really hard to leave her. I was not ready! The night before I went back to work, Alex woke up in the middle of the night with a scary sounding cough. He sounded funny when he was breathing and then he would move and sound fine except for his cough. I almost slept on his floor! We started a humidifier and in the morning he sounded a little better. We decided to start breathing treatments and continue with the humidifier at night. It was helping a lot but then on Thursday he decided to get a fever. After checking for the flu, strep throat and pneumonia just to be safe; it appeared to just be a virus. We were bummed because Rebekah’s 2nd birthday party was on Saturday. We decided that Aaron and Molly would head to Galveston on Saturday and Alex and I would stay home. Saturday morning Alex woke up fever free and Rachel said to bring him. We were thankful that we all got to go! Alex had a blast on the bounce house and so did mommy and daddy! Praise God Molly is still fever free. This was a huge worry since she still hasn’t had her 2 month well check and shots. She went on Wednesday and while I am happy that I shouldn’t be as paranoid, I hated seeing her get her shots!
Now for some pictures from this month!
