I can't believe my little man is 13 months old and that I am 19 weeks pregnant with a little girl! Time goes by so fast. Alex is now almost a full time walker and our little girl is right where she is supposed to be. Life is good.
Alex had a great birthday part! We just did something small at our house. We thought he would dig right in to the cake but he didn't. I think he didn't care for the texture of the icing on his cake because he would eat the pieces of the big cake that we gave him. When we went to my parents for Labor Day, my mom made cupcakes and Alex had fun with the icing on it :)

The weekend after his birthday party, Alex got his first professional hair cut. We had cut it a couple of times at home but it was time for the real deal. He did really well but it was expensive. I think I may try it next time. We are getting close to needing to cut it again! I sure hope our little girl get hair like Alex!

On Wednesday the 14th, we found out that our little bean is a GIRL! We are extremely excited to be having a girl this time. We both wanted a boy with Alex and I knew I wanted a girl this time. Not long before we found out, Aaron was leaning towards wanting a girl too. We are pretty sure we will be done after this one, so one of each is perfect. Of course all that really mattered to us was that the baby was healthy and growing like it should be. The 14th was also an exciting day because my friend Marisol gave birth to her little boy! I hope I get to meet him soon.
On the 15th, my wonderful father-in-law turned 70! Yesterday was his birthday dinner but Alex and I had to miss the celebration :( Thursday night I felt really really sick and I wasn't feeling much better on Friday morning. I decided to work from home and take Alex to daycare. Thursday morning, Alex woke up really congested and he wasn't any better on Friday morning. I was concerned about his ears since he had just gotten over a double ear infection that required two rounds of antibiotics. I decided to get him an appointment on Friday to make sure he was ok. I'm glad I did because it turns out he has strep! He has not had a fever so I was really surprised. I had it about 5 or 6 years ago and my fever was around 103. He is also working on 6 teeth! My poor little man!
Right now we are looking forward to the cooler weather sticking around to go on walks with Alex. We are also going to start getting our little girl's room cleaned out and ready. I have to go through Alex's clothes and pull out all of the items that will work for a little girl. Thankfully almost all of the A&M items will work for a girl! We have her first name but we are working on the middle name. Now for some more pictures!

Life has been going so fast but it is not going to slow down anytime soon. Our litttle boy is growing so fast and our little girl is going to be here before we know it.
