7 Months!!!

How is my little man already 7 months old? Time is flying by so fast. In the past month Alex has started to sit up well, he sent my mom and dad birthday messages, and he got big boy car seats! He is growing up so fast.

I always go check on him before we go to bed. This is how I found him one night! Silly boy - and yes I fixed the blanket.

Working on getting a birthday message to Mar.

Mar's favorite!

Playing with Daddy.

All fitted in his big boy seat before we installed it in the car.

This is how I found him the other morning when I went to wake him up. He started out in the middle of the crib the night before.

Month 6

Six months came way to fast! Six months brought Alex's first haircut and trying food other than rice cereal or oatmeal. I decided to make Alex's baby food. After looking at babyfood makers that will steam and process all in one machine, I decided it would be much cheaper to just get a steam basket and food processor.  It is easy to do and I can make a weeks worth of food or more in a short amount of time. I decided to start with zucchini. This went much better than the rice cereal did! Now for pictures of my sweet baby boy.

Look at that hair over the ears!

Month 5

Month 5 was busy! For Christmas we woke up in Galveston, headed to Winnie and then headed to Granbury. It was a long day! We also started baby food. We started with rice cereal and it didn not go well at first. He was not happy! Now for pictures!

Getting ready for Christmas.

First bite of rice cereal

After a couple of bites, not to sure about this stuff.

Haha. I don't think he likes it to much.

He got to finger paint at daycare.

First Christmas!

Month 4

Month 4 brought Alex's baptism, Thanksgiving, Aaron's birthday and Rachel graduating with her masters! The baptism was on a Saturday and my parents and grandparents drove down for the day. We wish they could have stayed longer! Aaron's family also came for the day, as well as his good friend Bobby. After the service, we came back to our house for a cookout. We had a great time visiting with everyone! For Thanksgiving we headed to Granbury to spend time with my family. We had a great time riding in the mule and spending time outdoors. My parents watched Alex for a couple of hours while we took our kayaks out on the lake. We didn't catch anything but it was still fun. For Aaron's birthday we went out for a nice dinner. Rachel earned her masters degree and headed to Florida to walk across the stage. We unfortunately were not able to make the trip, but thanks to the world wide web, we were able to watch her walk. Alex even wore a special shirt that day to let everyone know his aunt rocks. It was a good month full of fun!

At the church. The gown Alex has on was handmade for my mother-in-law for her baptism. All of Aaron's aunts, uncles and cousins on his mom's side have worn the gown.

Daycare brought in a Santa. It was nice that we didn't have to wait in long lines!

Month 3

Alex’s third month brought lots of smiles and his first Halloween. We got our first take-home item from daycare – a picture frame with a picture of Alex in a pumpkin. I love the look on his face! For Halloween, I got Alex a banana costume. Aaron has one that has been used a lot - random times during the year, a former boss wearing it to an office meeting and of course on Halloween. If you know Aaron, chances are you know the banana costume. When I saw the little banana, I had to get it for Alex. In early November, I had to go to Dallas for work. Alex and I headed up on a Wednesday and met my mom at my aunt and uncle's house. My mom and aunt watched Alex during the day on Thursday and Friday while I had to work and then Friday afternoon we headed to Granbury for the weekend. We missed daddy but enjoyed the time with family. My birthday was on the 10th of November and we went out for a nice dinner. Below are some of my favorite pictures of Alex from this month.
