Well I have decided to joing the blogging world. I am hoping to keep family and friends updated on what is going on in our world and mainly with Alex as he grows. This could very well turn into just a picture blog but we shall see. I know if you are reading this you know me but I thought I would give a little background on how Aaron and I got to where we are now.
Aaron and I met at Texas A&M (Whoop!) where we were both geography majors. We became friends and kept in touch after graduating. In January of 2005 we started talking on the phone and then in Febuary he invited me down to Galveston for Mardi Gras. After that things just kind of fell into place. Aaron moved to Dallas in June of 2005 and in December he proposed. We were married April 15, 2006. We had a very small ceramony with just our parents, grandparents and Aaron's siblings. We followed it up with dinner and cake. It was perfect for us.
After being in Coppell for almost 2 years, we felt that we needed a change. We had both been feeling like the Houston area was where we should be. Aaron sent out resumes and I talked with my company about taking over research in our Houston office. Aaron quickly got a job and the Houston office was happy to have me. We put our house on the market and got a tiny garage apartment in the Houston area at the end of June 2008. Aaron came down first and two weeks later I followed. Once our house in Coppell sold we started looking for a house. We found our house and moved in October 2008.
The night before I started working in Houston, our first niece Cecelia was born! Our second niece Rebekah was born in March 2010. I was blessed to be in the room when she arrived.
The most amazing thing I have ever done made his entrance on August 17, 2010.
Alex Windell joined us at 4:21pm weighing in at 8lbs 15oz and 20.75 inches long. The last 6.5 months have been hard and so amazing. I could stare at him and kiss him all day long!

alex is so beautiful! you'll love that you have your blog to look back on later because it all goes too fast! :)
